Individual dum-dum-drum repair learning workshop

Are you curious to know how a dum-dum-or any rope-tuned drum- is made? You’re in the right place!
In this hands-on workshop, we will guide you step by step through the entire process of assembling a dum-dum drum from scratch to final tuning. That means we’ll build the drum together-from the raw materials to a beautifully finished instrument with powerful sound. Whether you’re a beginner or simply passionate about traditional percussion, this experience will teach you the full art of drum-making and no experience required.

Before starting your personal dum-dum repair learning workshop and making sure it’s done just as you wish, please follow these steps:

1. 📩 Contact us: Click on the “Contact Us” or “WhatsApp” button. Send us a photo of the elements you have (wooden shell, cow calf  or goat skin, rope, iron rings, etc.).
2. 🥁 Choose the location:
   • Either you suggest a place – a pickup fee will apply (between €10 and €20 depending on the location)
   • Or we suggest a place – and you bring all the parts with you.
3. 💬 Receive your quote: After evaluation, we’ll send you a detailed invoice. Important: the learning workshop will only begin after payment.
4. ⏳ Repair timeline: Once payment is received, the learning session will last one dry day (no rain). On the second day, your djembe will be ready-fully assembled with a vibrant, metallic sound.
